Want to make a direct impact to LGBTIQA+ young people at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness?
Better Outcomes Project
Our Better Outcomes Project (BOP) aims to raise $15,000 to assist LBGTIQA+ young people to access Gender Affirmation Services/Support, Mental Health Support, Material Aid, Access to Training/Certificates and most importantly secure a Private Rental towards the end of their Transitional Housing Support. FAN’s support extends beyond their housing support period, young people have the option to continue support period when further needs have been identified and need assistance with.
Effective early intervention then is critical. With continued state budget cuts, your donation will assist us to keep innovating and provide appropriate support to young LGBTIQA+ people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Youth are among the most vulnerable to experiencing homelessness as early experiences can lead to life-long homelessness. Risk and complexity are heightened when this intersects with being part of the LGBTIQA+ community. LGBTIQA+ people are more than twice as likely to experience homelessness than the rest of the population.
Make a direct impact on a young person’s life, donate today, and help us at FAN to advocate for, on behalf of and with our young people to achieve secure housing, after all, housing is a basic human right.
